Tally Ho Brings Its Wallet to the Polygon Network
Tally Ho has added native support for Polygon, a leading scaling solution for Ethereum that enables faster and lower-cost transactions. This integration comes pre-loaded on Tally Ho, so there’s no need to go through the cumbersome process of manually adding the network to your wallet’s user interface. We’re also happy to report that when you switch networks inside your Tally Ho wallet, it won’t change the network your dApp is connected to! This was a popular request from our community and makes life a lot earlier.
Starting now, any Tally Ho wallet holder can perform swaps, make transactions, and access Polygon’s great dApps and features – directly in-wallet.
What is Polygon?
Polygon is a modified proof-of-stake (PoS) network that runs alongside Ethereum. It offers all of Ethereum’s benefits – interoperability, security, and ease – without the high cost and congestion that comes with them. A transaction done through Polygon is roughly 2,000x faster and costs some 10,000x less than one done directly on Ethereum. This level of efficiency and financial accessibility has made Polygon attractive to users and builders throughout the DeFi ecosystem: the network currently hosts more than 2.67 million users and 7,000 dApps.
Tally Ho’s integration with Polygon means members of our community will have full Polygon access as soon as they open their wallets. Other browser extension wallets require their users to undergo a complex process of manually adding Polygon to their user interfaces before they can start using it. But with Tally Ho, Polygon is plug-and-play – no additional setup required.
Why Tally Ho chose Polygon
Developing Tally Ho according to the wishes and needs of the community is always our top priority. And since support for Polygon was Tally Ho's most popular and important request, Polygon was the first network on our integration list.
Polygon’s low fees and efficient transaction times also have the effect of lowering the barrier to Ethereum for everyone. Costs on Ethereum can run so high that many users are literally priced out of the market – dApps are simply too expensive to use, particularly for people in developing economies. But with Polygon, anyone can access all of the features of the Ethereum network. Tally Ho also has a deep respect for Polygon’s dedication to sustainability. The platform has pledged to become carbon-negative by the end of 2022 and maintains an ongoing commitment to climate positivity in the future.
Time to explore the Polygon Ecosystem
So go ahead – open your wallet and step inside the rich Polygon ecosystem, which includes crypto’s most vibrant gaming and social experiences. Create and share content on Lens’s popular Web3 social protocol, vibe in Sunflower Land, race in Zed Run, and discover a host of new applications in Polygon’s vast, robust DeFi realm, which currently supports many of the biggest Ethereum platforms.
There’s much more on Polygon’s horizon. We can’t wait to see how this dynamic ecosystem will evolve – and how the Tally Ho community will grow right alongside it.
Tally Ho is owned and operated by its community of users. So if there are any integrations or other features you’d like to see in the future, visit our Discord to let us know. If you’d like to have a say in which network we add next, just let us know on our public roadmap. And if you’re a dev, let’s talk.
